what is a good app for rendering on macs, and is hopefully free. im using wings 3d(wich im not all that great with) and i was wondering if any of you guys knew a good app for macs to render 3d models.

also, do any of you guys know whats wrong with the cactus tutorial at the wings 3d site, i've been trying and trying, but something keeps not happening that they say should happen, please help.

It`s a good app for outfit rendering and I made some ships with it too.

Corel have stopped making it for the mac anymore so its not available new many places. You can still pick up copies on eBay though...

I know that there will be no further versions of Bryce for Mac but you can still buy Bryce 5 from Corel.

Septcanmat, you could try POV-Ray. Someone made an Event Horizon model on the Image Gallery a while back and used POV-Ray to render. You could try searching for that, cuz I can't remember who made it.

I use Strata 3.0.2. But you'd need to register, and that site's ded for good. Jules/Ewan used to have preference files on his site, but after reading some StrataCafe topic, he changed his mind. I still have them, but he won't let me distribute them, and considering that they're technically his, it's only fair I don't do anything with them if he doesn't want me to.

Im actually using Cinema 4D which can do graphics and rendering and i think it does its work well. Its a bit hard to command but it gets easier all the time.

Bryce 5 actually costs 330 Euro and i dont think its worth of course you can get it on the illegal way but
