I was wondering does anybody know where I can find some sprites for ships that are bigger than the Aururan carrier.

If you are making a plug-in just for personal use, you could always borrow some from other plug-ins. The Polycon TC has a few fairly large sprites.
If you were releasing it, you would of course need permission off the creator to use their graphics in your plug-in.
Also, the Raven in the stock Nova scenario has a bigger sprite than the Auroran Carrier.

I think he means the way the Raven's beam starts way out from the front so that you can never hit anything.

I can't help it, nasty fighters get in close and without turrets they are hard to destroy. I know that I have manta's but sometimes they don't help. Another thing, Because the Raven is inertialess it is hard to avoid getting enemies inside those two darn spikes. I say the Raven is one of the worst ships in the game.

hey hey hey, the raven isn't perfect (I have had problems with that fighter thing too, that is what multi torps (and buy a turret) are for), but it is a good ship. for the mantas to help you, set them on defend (d is default), and they'll help you out. As far as the cpls go, I feel your pain here, i had my fair share of keyboard bashing, but it is a true monster. It kicks some, and then some. Although I am not a mac user, forgive me if I say that with the raven, iWin.

Does it really matter in this case if the Raven's beam starts out so far ahead of the ship? That can be fixed easily.
