    • It's not saving!!!!!!!

Ok, I've got really far. I save what I've done then I get off (it was named Hybrid
Dave.pog). The next day I get on and try to load it but it's gone no one deleted
it but it's gone as if it was never there and now it never saves. What wrong???

You've unfortunately stumbled into the OS X bug I believe. PoG was done before OS X came out and OS X changed the way things save. There is a workaround but it won't recapture your lost game.

Make a text file named "anything.pog" (Hybrid Dave.pog is fine) and when the computer asks you if you want the .pog suffix, say yes. Now when you save, save over this file. Now you will be able to open it. You can pre-make a bunch of them: game1.pog, game2.pog, etc.

I don't use OS X but that is the system that those who do have used. If the search feature of this board was active, you could find several threads on saving. Without the search, you can look at past topics anyway and find the ones which talk about this problem.

Good luck with your game. ~RD

A minor correction - PoG was done before OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) came out, and OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) changed the way things save. This bug doesn't occur in 10.1 and earlier.

It does not matter to me because It's still not Saving :frown:.
I'm using OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). I go to textedit and save a
file(anything.pog) and it goes on that I need to have a
nother thing after .pog (options are both, cancel, and the
other one) I pick both, I get on the game and save then I try
to load. It does not work. I need more help thanks!!!!

Do not use both. From the FAQ forum the directions are given (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum66/HTML/000027.html")here.(/url) Read their answer carefully. You end up with a text file which has Gamename.pog which you place in the PoG folder. When you go to save, write over this file. PoG will say you already have a file by that name and ask if you want to replace it. Say yes. Now you should be able to open your save by either double clicking on it or draging it over the application. Please post back if you still have a problem. ~RD
