When the Strata 3D 3.0.2 installer tells me it's going to quit all running applications, it doesn't. It just sits there. Even when I quit them myself while it runs in the background, it just sits there until I force quit it. I've tried this in both Classic and OS 9.2.

Sounds like a corrupted download. Try it again.
And unless you have the Macintosh preference files that Jules has on his site, don't even bother. The web site that is required to register went down a long time ago.

I suspect that if it were a corrupted download, the app would simply not launch. And I'm on dialup and not too keen to download 20 megs again.
Anyways, I'm getting Strata from a download site that does not offer prefs file downloads, only a serial number. I have copied the serial number into a text document for further reference, in case I can ever actually use it.

I have had problems when installing from Classic under OS X. Have you tried just booting in 9? That works for me

No, seriously. It's not concievable that the app would start if it was a broken download. I often have this problem in Classic, that the installers think they can shut all apps down in OS X, but cannot.
Don't waste this guys time by telling him to download it and see the same problem again. Diordna2: try what Jules said.

Just a reminder- no matter how wonderful your license code is, it won't work without the files you'lll get by following the link above. The 3D site needed for registration is DOWN, and you NEED those files to register.
