    • Gli-tech-nia Extension


      Well, I have been working on an extension for myself where Gli-tech-nia steel some more polaris technology, Polaron Torps, and in the second mission that I made for testing the torps I ran into a little trouble. I can't figure out what to put in the control bit part where the player accepts the mission. i am pretty sure that bit tells nova to automatically put that weapon on your ship but I do not know how to do that. Also, how would I make the Gli-tech-nia version of the polaron torps be available for sale at the end of the testing?

      Oh, and I also need to know what to put in the "Offer the mission if" control bit.

    • To give a player an outfit you use Gxxx (xxx being the ID number of the outfit - remeber, you need to have an outfit for every weapon). The availability bits tell Nova when the mission is available. You're going to have to either include the mission before where you want yours to be available and edit it's Availability bits slightly to include new ones, or take off where the last mission ended. Basically, either choose some random unused bits for your mission, or use bits that follow after the previous mission. But you're going to have to do a little research to figure out those bits.

      I would also suggest making copies of the Polaris equipment you want to "steel" and giving them unique IDs and availability requirements. Just activating the ncbs used by the Polaris to make the torps available will cause some problems by making Polaris mission available.

    • Where do I find out what previously used bits mean and which ones are available?

    • The bible lists the types of NCB set expressions.
      An addon, the "Nova Bits Bible", i belive, lists all the bits used in nova (but only bits, not any of the other things NCBs are used to do)
