I was trying out suicidal ships one time on EVNEW and put in -999 in the ammo spot. I tried it, got the ship, it worked fine, except that it didn't blow up after shooting its gun. I just set it to fight and all I see is an exploding scarab and the suicide drone comes back to me in one good peice. Meep?

Try setting the ship to have a REALLY short-range weapon (as in, like, half a second to stay on screen), have a low ProximityRadius and a really, really high ProximityBlast. Make sure the weapon's blast hurts the player, set it to detonate upon end of flight, and make the sprites an 64x64 blank black grid. that should work.

My last try of a suicide ship in EVO suggested me that -999 doesn't work for AI ships, so it will have to blast itself in the explosion, I do not see another solution.

There was a ship called the Kamikazee in an EV/O plug that did this. Seemed to work well except that the ship rarely got close to the target ship.
