    • Problem in planet domination


      I am working on battle-station in my plug, it seems that everything is okay, except that when I demand tribute from my planet, it surrenders without sending out fleets. But when I release it and then demand again, it works as planned.

      Can anyone help me?

      This is because when wyou add new planets, nova stupidly starts the defence fleet at 0 ships, as if someone had already gone and destroyed all the ships - in order to get the proper behavior, you must either wait an ungodly length of game time, start a new pilot with the plug in, or (apparently) dominate and release it.

    • Yeah, if a planet doesn't exist, Nova stores a value of 0 as the size of its defense fleet in a pilot file. When you add a planet and use that same pilot, it thinks the planet's defense fleet has been wiped out, but if you start a new pilot, it correctly initializes the size of the defense fleet. I doubt this will ever be changed, since Matt has repeated countless times that there will be no new engine changes.

    • (roll eyes): It would be great if the creators put in 'existing' features (e.g. fleets pointed to by dudes). I'm not asking for anything new, just what was promised in the documentation...

      I think seant is creating some kind of pilot files pers editor. Perhaps this is something to think about; resetting defense fleets after adding plug-ins.
