ok, ive made my first plug proud of me? well it doesnt really work, what explantions are there for that, i did it all in nova tools and it looks right, but i dont know how to make it work, also i dont think my other plugs work so maybe its the plugs folder, i just upgraded so it might have messed up the folder

Do other downloaded plug-ins work? If not then it could be the folder. I'm not really sure how you could mess it up in an update.

If your plug is the one at fault, make sure its icon is the same as that of other plugs, which should be a screwdriver and a wrench crossed. If it does not have an icon like this, you have to set the creator codes of the file, so that Nova will recognize it.

I find this little program helpful: (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl/NovaFileChanger.sit.hqx?path=evn/utilities&file;=NovaFileChanger.sit.hqx")Nova File Changer(/url).

It is a simple drag-and-drop RealBasic script that will change the creator codes to th right type.

cannonball, a couple of things.

(1) Can you please refrain from using AOLspeak (ur, lol, and so on)? We don't really like it on this board.

(2) Has it occurred to you that nearly everyone else here managed to figure plugins out at least roughly without asking hundreds of simple questions on the board? Worth thinking about - trial and error is a good teacher.

Seriously though Cannonball, Plug-ins take a while to get to grips with, keep at it, you'll get there.

I'm sure other visitors to this thread didn't particularly like your aolspeak either. But we try and crack down on people who jump on new people about tiny things... if there is a problem, it's better for a moderator to do the complaining.

If my post came off as being angry, sorry. It wasn't intended to be, and I can't see exactly how it could look angry. It was supposed to be a polite friendly request.
