    • Killed a Stone Giant

Hey hey! Has anyone managed to do this, or am I the first? I wandered down to one of the areas where the Stone Giants and some of their buds hang out, trying to map the place. I had found the Elven Bow earlier. Anyway, I get to a point where there's a "V" of forest to the north, a couple of rocks right below the tip of the V, and a Stone Giant on the other side.

He spots me, but can't get between the rocks and the trees, and because I'm too far north, he can't figure out that all he has to do is go down a bit. Fortunately, I didn't run off. When I saw he couldn't get at me, although he was going nuts trying, I started shooting with the bow. It took a while - these guys are pretty tough to kill - but I eventually nickle and dimed him to death.

Granted, after all that shooting I only got $523 bucks out of the deal (and part of that was cash in a hole he was standing on) and burned off 3500 Experience points, but it was pretty cool. What are the odds, huh?

      have a try at it!

    • If your talking about Sea Giants, the blue boys with red armor... the reason your on this quest to begin with. Then yes, people have killed them before not long after the game came out. and for weak players, geting them stuck as you have, just in different locations has been a way to kill them for awhile also.

/me toots own horn about haveing the character that could kill one in one hit with bare hands without any plugs. That took alot of money.

Congratulations! You're the first in your house. I think you are talking about Sea Giants and not Stone Giants. Stone Giants live in caves in the north, a cave in Wyrm Valley for one, and will not be found wandering around in the woods. It might also be Earth Elementals you saw judging from the "V" in the forest. If they were light brown, they were Earth Elementals. If they were hugh and green, they were Sea Giants. Stone Giants are bluish white and carry a big club.

I got the same kind of rush you just had when I killed one from the other side of a stream with the bow. I couldn't get the cash though, because I couldn't swim with all that gear on. 🙂 Keep enjoying the game.

Edit: And AAC is not the only one to put his weapons down and knock 'em out in one blow with the fist. The battlefield is a lot less bloody that way. 😄

The (url="http://"http://www.evula.org/rduck/")Kingdom of Garendall(/url) sectional map is easily printed from gif format pages.
Find those areas you missed the first time around. You'll want to explore those hidden areas now made accessible with Spells Expander.

    • Yeah, I figured it'd be more common an event than that - but still, hey, what a rush.

Actually, I stand corrected - finally managing to stomp that Guardian, now THAT was a rush! 🆒

But what now? I mean, I've apparently won the game - are there different incarnations of it via the plugins? I checked out the Trinity plugin - doesn't appear to make that big a change, apart from turning your adventurer into a specialist...

If you want to continue your game after defeating the Guardian, look for a plugin called Game Continuer (sorry, no link, you've got to look for it yourself on the addins page 😉 ), but be prepared, it'll drop you into prime Sea-Giant territory after beating the Guardian.
As for Trinity, it's actually a lot better with than without. It does turn you into a specialist, but you also have a lot of useful powers or unique items to use. Even better is playing as a Trinity conjuror with Spells Expander installed as well 🙂 Hopefully in the fairly near future more non-cheat type plugins will come out to make the game even better.
      Above all, have fun!!!

    • Trinity adds what I think is the most useful item to the game, gate stones. I usually save up loads of cash to buy lots of them. They automatically transport you to a town, you must of already visited them, though.

    • I tried installing that plugin - up popped a dialog box saying "Chinese Input Method Plug-in Converter; The action could not be completed because it can't convert file with Chinese file name."

Is there something else I should be doing before attempting to install this plugin?
