    • Will make planets for food

I'm willing to pop out a few planet pics for people if you guys want them. I'm good with photoshop and such. Just email me, geuis1@bellsouth.net, as exact a description as you can of what exactly you want, such as size, color, level of detail, planet/moon type, etc.

    • Cool...do you also do actual planet portrait pics (the ones you see upon landing)?

Anyways, I'll keep you in mind for my planet-building needs. My upcoming plug-in might benefit...

Nope. Space planet pics are easy and don't take a lot of time. And, unfortunately, time is one of my more precious commodities.

Anyone know a good planet I can sell time at for high? 🙂

Pretty nice, but can you make a Polaris-style hypergate? That's what I need, since mine is not going well. I'm thinking of making it a two-frame smiley face: One frame with a smile, other with an open mouth. "Yum! Ships!"

    • i am looking for a block hole. like the wormhole, but with sharper sides, and instead of blue, like dark.

do you do animation? i imagine you probly don't after what you said about not doing landing pics, i dought you'd do animation. but, maybe you do.

      Edit: spelling

I spend between 10-20 minutes on my (url="http://"http://zombat.roosteredge.com/dc109.jpg")planet(/url)s. A good planet is done by doing each setting manually, not with the dice option. I'd suggest you use the dice option less and less .... I only use it for inspiration

FYI: I do not use the dice option. I detest the dice option, even as a starting point. The images I made available as a demo are immediately available for general use by whoever wants them. I did not put my most detailed pics up, just ones that I spent only a few minutes on strictly so that those who wanted to see someone could see I'm not full of crap.
Be assured, depending on what the plugin developer wants, the final images are made to order.

Same here. Though lately, i've been trying to ditch LunarCell entirely. Using only photoshop and lightwave to make my planets, they look a whole lot more realistic that way. Lightwave has awsome texture rendering. The only problems are 1) it takes FOREVER to make a good surface and cloud map, 2) getting the atmosphere size and visibility gradient to smooth off at the right time.

    • Food is a joke. Yes, I will do some planets for you for free. Just email me your specifications and I'll see what I can do.

    • can you do planet animation? like would something close to resembling a worm hole be to much work?

Y'know, you can save each individual map that lunar cell creates - Clouds, land texture ... just mess around with the type (a little pull-down square that adjusts the rendering type, for instance if you want the planet to be transparent on top of another thing.. its hard to explain.)

I tried it once, and it worked fairly well, I just had a couple problems. with mapping ..

    • Anyone thought of making animated planets?
Something like a planet where you can see the flashes of lightning from stormclouds (or a gas giant or other planet with thick clouds, where you can see the flashes of lightning from the inside of the clouds). Or (for a one time appearance after a major victory) a planet with a very large scale planet wide fireworks display.
Are you still doing this? I think I have some planets that i would like done if you are.

      ------------------

    • Aye, I'm willing. I was thinking about animated planets too. I can create the graphics, but you will have to convert them to RLED for use in Nova. You can email me @ geuis1@bellsouth.net with the ideas you have for the planets.

    • Making planets, hmmm like launching the Genesis Torpedo on a dead stellar body? That be one way of making planets.

Anyways do you also do stations as well? I'm sure there could be demand for some.

    • maybe. don't have any put together but I might be tempted if I have the time(in between other projects I'm doing.)

    • I myself have over 200 planets anyone can have if they want... I'm keeping a few for the plug I'm working on, but otherwise, they're all yours. Don't have a website of my own (keep meaning to get one on Geocities), but I'll email a few sample planets to anyone who's interested. I also have fairly realistic renditions of Venus, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune, if anyone cares.

Suddenly, the little scoutship disappeared and then reappeared right behind the alien warfleet. The gravitic ship's captain hailed the armada. "You are going to be destroyed, but I will give you a choice as to how you want to spend eternity: big pieces, little pieces, or quarks?"
      Dead silence.
      "Quarks it is, then."
