I recently downloaded the Windows version of Strata 3.0.2 from some Internet site (http://www.edu.uleth...t/Strtlnks.html). After I installed the program, upon starting Strata, the program asked me to register (either by CD or Internet). The problem is that the Internet links are all broken (therefore not allowing me to register by that method), and as the application was free for D/L (correct me if I am wrong), I don't have a CD. Could anyone enlighten me?

Since 3.0.2 is about 4 years old now, and Strata no longer offer a free version, there are no links to the registration page. Try using this serial number:

S55VCB253VZGY

If that doesnt wrk then it must be a Mac specific code I have. In this case, try emailing (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubbmisc.cgi?action=getbio&UserName;=BariSaxGuy5")BariSaxGuy5(/url) who is a Windows user of 3.0.2.

I get the message "Verify that you are connected to the internet and check that the registration number is entered correctly" no matter whose registration code I use (yours, or the one I got off the internet page). Does the Mac version of Strata that you have (had?) up for download ask you to enter a serial number?

EDIT: After quite a bit of fruitless research, I have discovered that a link to this (now non-existent) web page is necessary to register the program. Does anyone have a workaround?

What you'll need are preference files that show you've already registered. Ewan gives out copies of his, and used to have a link on his website where you can download them. If he doesn't respond before you read this, you might try e-mailing him to see if he'll send them to you.

If anyone else could help me with this issue, please do so. My old Mac is not nearly enough to run this program, and neither is my emulator (and I don't have $450 or so to spend for the full-fledged version).

However, my Strata tries accessing 3d.com (even when I enter the number)...is there a version that accesses strata.com when you register? Anyone know?
