    • How do illegal outfits work?

      The Bible indicates that a govt will fine you if you arent an offender in its systems, and scanfine is set to a number.
      So i made a quick mod to give the federation (128) a scanfine (100000). But thier reaction is still to attack me on sight, even if I am good citizen in the system. Is this because:
      A. The federation govts is so screwy that i must have changed the wrong federation.
      B. The feature doesnt work like the bible says.
      C. Something else?

      Hmmm, with 20 tons of bioweapons and a 4.5m bank account a "25000" scanfine turns into a 1.1 million credit fine, and they still attack me.

      I believe they'd attack no matter what. They have to enforce the law somehow. But you're right in that this doens't sound consistent with the bible.

      Sounds like your the scan fine value is a percentage, not a specific value. 1.1 Mil is 25 percent of 4.5 rounded up which is consistant with the 25000 scan fine (0's obviously not being factored in). Make sure there is no negative in front of the value or in MC set the menu to the correct fine setting.
