    • Regarding walking around in this game


      I've noticed that it takes an incredibly long time (to my taste) to get to places in this game, so much so that I can't really stand it. It's too repetitive to take the same routes from the learning tree to fantrina to other places and back. Is this something that I'll have to deal with during the entire game (repetitive walking around in the same tiles to get to places) or will it get sufficiently exciting that I won't mind? The game was great to start off with, but now the amount of walking back and forth is getting on my nerves (i'm an impatient person 🙂 ) but I still wish I could enjoy the game.

      There are several ways to move around more quickly. In the standard game to only option is to use the termite tunnel system whenever possible. With the Trinity plugin, gatestones become available to get you to specific places. A conjurer who has the Spells Expander spells of Portal and Relocate can go anywhere he wants with teleportation. It also takes less time to cover the distance when you increase your speed with items like Boots of Lightning. I had one character who had a speed of 17 with the natural increases and the proper equipment and this was actually too fast. If your speed is up to 13 with a Quicksilver Ring (courtesy of Fayleese in Spells Expander) you probably won't be thinking it's that slow any more. Enjoy the game. ~RD

      Don't forget the mark/recall combination. They are useful for marking the cave of Orobas and quickly returning. And other things, of course. 🙂
