OK, Im making an EV plug-in useing EV-Edit 3.0 and its a very huge plugin so far i have add about 20 new ships a couple weapons and a few goverments. but the ships is only the problam, i have most of them completed but when i go to test them out, i click on the "Visit Shipyard" button it just sits there or freezes. I have tried to set the avilability so every ship can be bought at one place. i have done this befor earlier on in the plug, AND IT WORKED. now i have added a few more ships and tried tampering with it but now it doent work...IS THERE ANY WAY AROUND THIS STUPID BUG?!

To put it bluntly, EV Edit = bad developer!

EV-Edit si famed for it's unstability and plug-eating features that will not help your plug. I recommend you check out the aforementioned R & R software, as well as Pontus Illbring's (sp? - sorry Pontus) site for some excellent map making software. I can't remeber the URL, it might be in the links section though.

Yeah, EV-Edits only drawback is it's buggyness and the shareware fee, but I'm sure any aspiring hacker can find a crack for it. I saw one on Starlight a few weeks a go....

Also, the maximum number of ships you can have is 64, minus 1 for the escape pod. There are already quite a bit, and you say you added 20 new ships? I'm probobly wrong, but that might push EVO over it's limit there.

A freeze might also be caused by incorrect spins as well (I think), although it probably has something to do with the 63 limit.

Wow, old topic. Oh well, whatever.
The problem lies just with the plugin. So what plugin are you trying to use? Does the plugin look like a puzzle piece? Have you tried redownloading the plugin?

Are you living in the real world?

There is something wrong with the plug or there is a plugin conflict. Make sure the plugs work on thier own. Also make sure you arnt trying to use a plug designed for EVC or EVO in EVN.

Any way. Check the pic IDs of all the weaps/ships/outfits/planets to see if they are working right. Its a picture that is doing the problem.
