    • Lunarcell and Infini-D

Alrighty.. For enhanced realism in my planet graphics (and more accurate masks) I want to make planet surfaces with Lunarcell and then use them as textures in Infini-D. Anybody have any pointers, tips, or downright instructions for doing so?

      Thanks
      Divals

(edit)wow, this sure is being pushed to the bottom fast! it's only been about half a day of people not replying at all and it's already down near the bottom!(/edit)

(wow, we haven't had a 'Divals sucks with graphics, plz help!' post in forever! :p)

    • hi.
if you want to use it as a scenery for combining it with a ship n stuff, make a planet, and then put as background image in IFD in the edit menu

Play that funky music white boy!

    • Actually what I meant was that I wanted to make 3D planets with the lunarcell surfaces so i can make structural additions such as, for instance, a Jump Retardation Device, or the GSE-GOV 001 building on Gurnopia.

Not to be stupid, but can't you use the surface as a picture and just add the JRD or the building as a layer on top? (please remember that I have no experience whatsoever with Infini-D, and have never so much as even had the program on my computer)

    • spacecowboy - well, yes, but it dosent look as good.

As for you, divals, I've had problems myself. I ended up mapping it onto a sphere, UV atlas, I believe, and even then parts of it were blurred. It seems like it'd be easy, but Its kinda hard. I can't help you in infini-d...

I figured as much. Oh well, if I could get another demo copy of Photoshop (a friend of mine borrowed the CD that has the Photoshop demo on it, and I haven't gotten it back from him yet), I'd get back to work with LunarCell. BTW, if anybody wants planet pictures, lemme know, I got something over 300 of 'em sitting on my hard drive. I'm sure to have SOMETHING you'll like.
