    • HELP with getting plugin off emulator. Is my plug bad or not converted right?

I created a quick plugin on my emulated mac, changed one planet (the one in the system my pilot is in in the game) to make the planet inhabitable so i can land there and refuel. I had planned on using my emulated mac to make many more plugins.
But when i made a stuffit archive, brought it out of the emulated harddrive with HFV explorer, unstuffed it, and converted it to windows format, i got a series of resource not found errors when I tried to run EV:N
Please, does anyone know what the problem might be? Is it a bad plug to begin with (ie, did I do something wrong), or is the problem with my process of moving it. Useing stuffit 5.5 on mac side and stuffit 7.5 on pc side. File unstuffs to an RSRC file and converts normally, but as I said, produced errors for resource not found (errors 500, 501, 503, and 800), and then quits.
Please help. This has crushed my dreams of plugin making.

    • Hmmm, okay, this seems to be the wrong place for this problem - it happens wheather I have the plugin in or not.
      Gah. Off to ask elsewhere.

    • I've had the same problem, and it seemed to me that EVN wouldn't run after BasiliskII had been run. Try restarting your computer, it solved the problem everytime for me. I don't think it had anything to do with the plugin. Also, if you just create a .bin file with the plugin on the emulator, you won't need to unstuff it for use in the windows environment, just drop it on the convertor.

PS-those were the exact same errors, but they only happened after having had BII open before running EVN, never say them at any other time.

    • How incredibly bizzare. i made it work by randomly moving nova files and plugs around and cleaning out the nova directory (ie, took all the sits and uncompressed folders from plugins out of the EVN folder). Did not reboot between when it failed and when I got it running again.
I have run BII before EVN. I have run EVN while running BII. Without problems, so far.
      Thanks for the idea.
I think someone with source code and a debugger (ie, the developers) need to examine this problem in more detail, because people who dont sound like they even know what Baselisk II is are having the problem. It doesnt seem to have a single cause, nor does it have a reliable fix.

    • If you left the resource.map file in the Nova folder when you converted the plugin to windows format that's your reason.
