After reading some of the uh... (topics?) below, I think we are seeing some of the major problems with the (compatibility?) of the two OS'. I am somewhat glad that the Windows version of the game has been released because now I can play this great game with friends and blah blah blah... But, I hope that we can stay as ONE. I'd hate to see seperate add-on pages and hope that we can find a resolution to this.

We've reached the 10,000 memeber... thing...

I'm at a loss for words.

isnt there a way to make plugs work on mac & pc?? a good thing would be a drag and drop thingy where you could convert plugs

I guess a player's opinions are not welcome at these boards.
But I never mentioned anything about having peace and unity throughout the community. I was simply hoping that there would be a program in the near future allowing PC and Mac users to simply play the same plug-ins. Just because it doesn't exist now doesn't mean riots are going to break out in the streets.

I think everyone is overreacting a bit in this situation. He brings up a good point- the Mac community here is well entrenched and it will take the PC users a long time to build a user base as solid as ours, but it will happen. Until the two are more equal in terms of development, players, etc, we should all do our best to get along.

I think you were asking wether you could convert plugs or something... you refered to something as "this" but we can't figure out what it was. Just be more specific about what you're talking about.

PortAuthority is for converting Escape Velocity and EV Override plug-ins to EV Nova, not for cross-platform conversions. Ok, maybe I somehow came off as hard. The way I said it was a little weird.
BUT, reading the post agian I don't see how i'm wrong.

The topic doesn't mention ANYTHING about the plug-conversion program that is suppose to be in the works. It seems to point to wanting to keep the community "together". And the whole topic is vague, and has this "and lala blahblah i'd hate to see division in the community air, blah blah"
