    • Last Question: Mission Being Offered on Uninhabited Spob

Finally remembered my last question long enough to get to the webboard.

Scenario: I have a mission set to appear in the main spaceport 100% of the time if you have a certain outfit.
Problem: The mission shows up on spobs marked "uninhabited", when the availability is "-1 Any INHABITED stellar". This is quite wrong, as the mission serves as step 1 in my auto-refuel process. Players shouldn't be able to auto-refuel at uninhabited planets, right?

If I recall correctly form the Nova scenario, the "Recharge Darts" mission worked the same way as this, but in it's case, it was the correct behavior. Someone's wrong here- either Nova, Me, or the documentation. Anyone have the full scoop?

    • Damn computer being broken. I just want to bump this topic, as it is still an issue for me. Is this how it is supposed to work? If I made the mission activate any other way, that would solve it, but it would also eliminate the automatic element.

So, I propose a poll. Would it be too annoying to have to just click the outfitter's to refuel, instead of completely being able to ignore it? Personally, I go to the outfitters every time I land somewhere, simply out of habit. Opinions?

    • Try this:

Make several versions of this mission, each of 'em being avalaible on a specific government's planets.
      It should work, this way.

    • Hey... Not bad. I might need only one, maybe 2 missions this way anyway, thanks to my govt class layout. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

    • If you're making an auto-refueller that just refills your energy at any inhabited system, you don't need to fiddle around with missions at all. Just make an outf with a modtype of 19.

    • I probably should have clarified that bit. Ignoring the affront to my intelligence :), in this plug I've replaced Nova's traditional fuel with an outfit-based system. Quite different. When it's finally released (and I assure you all, progress is beoming more and more rapid!), I'm quite certain a few of the techies will open it up and go, damn. The auto-refueller is one of my more ingenious inventions, even though it's purpose is so simple. And just for note, Nova's traditional fuel is now simply energy- it is quite transient. Expect lots of fuel-powered weapons and cloaks.

Unfortunately, I'm leaving town for about a week, may or may not have my computer, and will definately be quite out of touch. Long story short: haven't gotten to try your solution STraven, and may not get to for a long time. :frown: So this topic may end up being resurrected.

      Later, y'all.

Yes, he indeed has. To clarify, fuel is not really fuel, but energy, and the entire loadout and performance of your ship and such depends upon it. Instantly refulling someone to full would be the equivelent of strengthening them ten to fifteen times. Not desirable.

Oh, and yes, this plug will be revolutionary, great, good, and better.
