    • Linking Question

I'm working on a TC and links have had a tendency to appear, from Nova scenario systs (which have not been nulled), to a system placed at 0,0. Going back and nulling these systems made them disappear, but new different ones took their place. These Nova systs had absolutely nothing linking with ID 129 (the syst placed at 0,0) but linked anyway. Upon moving the syst to 1,1 the problem stopped, but a greyed system appeared adjacent to it at 0,0. Of course, as this greyed system was unlinked, it was not a real problem but was still confusing.

So... if you're still following: is there any way to stop this problem short of nulling every single system Nova sets? I'm not exactly looking forward to creating 500 wasted systems, as it is a very small conversion.

    • Back up the nova file which holds the systems and then delete the syst resource inside of the nova file. Unless you are making this not just for yourself. In that case, I don't know.

    • Talos, haven't seen you around in a while. Still working on Olympus Wars?

Ah. Well, not really. I've drawn up a lot of stuff, but haven't worked on it in a long time. I probably should try it again, as I've got a lot of free time. I'm interested in having someone else work on writing/coding, so I could focus more on graphics, but I never really found anyone. In terms of plug work, I had most of the center quadrants in, as well as a fair number of ship, outfit, weapon stats... that I had to start over in EVN from EVO certainly didn't encourage me. But I should go back to it.

    • So then, what's this new TC? Or is it all hush-hush stuff ;).

Heh.. it was just a little experimentation into the capabilities of the engine. Nothing serious. Let's just say "cruising on the surface of the planet"... but the flat-color background (damn you, parallex star layers!) makes things, well, 'graphically unpleasing.'
