Ancients: These beings are the most technologically advanced of all the Factions. Their ships are
force-fields created and sustained by small generators and move by catching particles which are propelled backwards trough the rear substance of the vessels.
They hate physical weakness and it is not uncommon that Ancients fallen in dishonor is sent out in deep-space pods to die. Their life-force is contained in the sacred and feared planet Forcepoint, a planet older than the galaxy itself. Forcepoint is a warped and withered vision with afterimages of dead beings, searing plasma storms and warpspace maelstroms. Its four moons help to channel and purify the energy created, and the system is only accessible by the means of warpspace travel from X-1, the homeworld of the Ancients. Savage infighting between the different warrior bands is not unusual.

Legion of United Planets
The most well-known human military organization in the galaxy. Founded by the Federation of United Planets when ailien hostile activity was discovered, this well-funded and -organized yet incredibly rag-tag army keeps systems towards the border of Human Space safe. They also do strike missions, towards teh N'elian border worlds (okay for you Zerak?) whilst Federation Of United Planets '(FUP) internal peacekeeping forces halndle the core worlds.

The fighter craft of the Ancients.
This ship has plenty of shields, but almost no armor. It is laid out to be a dangerous adversary, since the ancients are the fewest in numbers of all the factions in our universe. Its only weapon is the potent Scalpel beam.

Hammerhead
This is the Legion's primary combat craft. These agile fighters are inferior to their
enemy counterparts, but it is compensated for with their exellent manouverability.
They almost always travel in packs or as escorts. Its engines are shielded to provide decoy from missiles.

This is the most terrifying vessel the Legion has ever deviced. These heavy close combat fighters have thick armor so that they can survive othervise lethal fire when closing up on their hapless foes, and mount tons of deadly assault weaponary which make short work of energy- and particle shielding at close range.

Missile Frigate
This ship is the combat support craft of the Legion (the army of our human faction).
Its role is to stay happily back while blasting the enemy to shreds, because after
a taste of flame from its three missile types and a pummeling from its Artillery Cannon the other fighters of the Legion will have a better chance of killing the others with their lasers. It mounts two point-defense Flack Cannons to protect against fighters, but it is a crappy close assault vehicle and should never leave a port without escort from other combat vessels. It also handles like a drugged sloth.
