    • Besides killing monsters for several hours, how can you get your life up to 300 so you can take a hit from the Guardian? I had maximum armor and dwarf runic sword and lasted about 5 seconds.

Also, I have a g4 iMac with OS 10.2.4 and running PofG 1.02. Anyone having the game "unexpectedly quit"? Besides saving "continually," am I doing something wrong?

      Thanks for your help!

Yeah -- look at "Today's crash log" thread for details. Where in the game are you when it quits?

Can't really remember. Pretty far into it. Anyway, I just keep saving the game. Sometimes if I reboot, it helps.

Axe...the game just quit at the Plain of Endless Wind. Same place as you recorded in your thread. Went I moved to a different tile...shut down. It doesn't do it all the time.

Blocking is your friend. 🙂 If you really do have your armor more or less maxed out, then so long as you're blocking well, you should be reasonably safe. (Of course, like any other monster, it will occasionally get a lucky hit in... incentive to kill it fast. 🙂 ) You shouldn't need anything like 300 life to kill the thing, though it may take you more than one try if it gets lucky a few too many times.

      I don't know what I'm talking about.

Thought so. Do us all a favor, and fire up the Console, and send a crash log to tech support next time you run into this. To avoid it, save before you switch tile squares. It seems like some sort of memory overflow with the sound loading....or something. More data points will probably help in trying to track this sucker down.
