You need only to post in one place, there is no need to have the same post on many boards. there is plenty of foot traffic on all boards

Which are both fairly difficult programs to become decent at. Neither is cheap, and takes lots, as in years, of practice to be really good at. Not to discourage you, but don't expect to just go get these, or any other graphics programs, and start pumping out Nova quality ships.

Sami6877, go for it. There are different ways in getting expensive programs out there. Photoshop is good for all your 2D needs, and give it a couple months and you'll be fine at it. Barring Lightwave or Maya or 3DS Max (due to price), Bryce is a good bet for 3D modelling, if you're on a Mac. That's what I would use, but unfortunately I'm on a ****ty 300mhz PC, so I'm stuck polishing off my Photoshop 5 skills until I save up enough for a PowerBook G4. Best of luck!

**He wasnt puting him down, you are reading outside the box. What he was saying is that just because you have good expensive tools doesnt mean that you can just pick them up and straight away create NOVA quality graphics. It takes time and patience to learn all of these programs, even the simplest of 3D programs can have a quite steep learning curve.
Strata is probably easier to learn than Lightwave and its taken me years to get to the stage that I am at (with the version I have. I am getting Pro as I have gone pretty much as far as I can go with 3.0.2 free, and know that Pro will allow me to advance further.
