    • I want to create a plug that...

has one ship, fighters, a number of weapons and outfits. What I want is to make this ship/weapons available only to me or to my "fleet." I'd like to make it so that as soon as you put the plug in, you're flying the ship... My idea is to have an "extension" plug that will allow me to use my own ship/weapons instead of the plug's ships/weapons. How do I do this? I know enuff to put the c/p the picts and input the ship's and weapon's stats, but anything else, I'm lost.

      Thanks much!

    • As I see there is only one way to do this.
Create a new goverment. Create the ships for that goverment, create the outfot so it is only available to tthat goverment. I'm not going to tell you how to do this as I think first-hand learning is always best.

    • I don't think there's any way to cause your pilot to use the said ship as soon as you load the plug. I think the only way to do this would be to modify the starting pilot resource. But you could easily make the ship available anywhere and cost little to nothing. One additional note, to the best of my knowledge, the AI won't use any ship you create unless it's specifically told to do so via creating dudes (or pers) and telling what systems they can appear in. This goes the same for outfits/weapons since the AI ships cannot modify the outfits that they carry unless a particular ship's standard outfits is changed by a plug.

(edit) just looked over your question again:
To create that type of plug all you would have to do would be to create the appropriate weapon resources and their corresponding outfits. Create the ship resource and all related files if neccessary. Using the ship resource you can assign all the oufits and weapons that you want to come with the ship. Then make a few descriptions if you want and... voila!

Not true- just take the ID of whatever ship you're currently in, and replace that one with the plug-in ship. Then, when you load EVO, voila, you're in that ship.

So basically, if you're in the shuttle(ID #128), your plug-in ship should be ID #128.

Yeah, in general that would work. But that would cause every single shuttle to become the new ship. Plus what if you're not initially flying a shuttle (or whatever particular shipt)? I think it would be simpler to just create a ship with a unique ID.

    • What about using a crรถn to change the ship type, then deactivate itself?

    • How about a mission, avaliable as soon as you land that gives you that ship using the Nova feature?

    • This is to be for EV. I don't know anything about Nova.
