I searched and found a few topics concerning my troubles, but, none of them helped me. I also tried going to nova tools creaters home page but it isnt at that address anymore. Ok so i followed the directions. In the NovaTools Read me it said copy the NovaTools.res into the Resedit preference. I looked for the NovaTools.res file but i could not find it. So i thought It must be the NovaTools file so i copyed the resources into the Resedit Preference and then gave Resedit 20000k of memory. But when i start it up and click new it gives me a blank window. Anybody that can help me? Thanks in Advance.

As for the blank page, yeah ResEdit's like that. NovaTools just adds nice forms for certain resource types. Try opening a Nova Data file (or better yet, a copy of one).

Or if you just want to create a certain resource in a blank file (ie creating anew ship but nothing else), press command-K and choose the proper name from the list of resources.

It sounds like NovaTools wasn't completely installed. Are you sure you copied all the resources over?

Well I can't seem to figure it out. I re-downloaded NovaTools and i opened it, then I opened Resedit Preference and I selected all of the Nova Tools and copy and pasted them into Resedit. The ships wont edit. I get the gibberish above... So i took a picture of Resedit Preferences and mayebe i am missing somthing. Thanks.

I have had this problem too, although I wasn't to concerned about it as I haven't started pursuing Nova plug editing very much yet.

It seems strange that there's a ship file in your preferances screen grab. I don't think this is supposed to be in there. I haven't looked at my prefs since I installed though so I could be mistaken. Does this right to anyone else? I'd try downloading NovaTools again and reinstalling the resources into a fresh ResEdit.
