Okay I made a ship in ResEdit and when I tried to save it this error message popped up:
Unknown field type found.
And the "Hold" field was selected after hitting okay, stating that it must be that field. It's set at -20. I'm trying to edit the original EV.

Actually, negative numbers indicate ships who cannot have mass expansions. In any case, I do not know why ResEdit would have any trouble with it. Try putting a zero in the field, closing the resource, save the file, open the resource again, put in the number you want, and see if works then. It might, or it might not. I could be thinking of a different error.

I also tried using 15, 20, 50, and 134 but they all get the same error message.
In the Bible is says if you put a negative number in front, you can't use Mass Expansions (trade cargo space for outfit space).

Perhaps your TMPLs are corrupt. Have you tried 'reinstalling' them? Also, what version of ResEdit are you using? (The latest is 2.1.3, and is available (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl/ResEdit213.sit.hqx?path=ev/utilities&file;=ResEdit213.sit.hqx")here(/url).)

Okay it works fine now after forcivly quitting ResEdit. And yes, I'm at using 2.1.3
I also took the TMPL resources from one of my plug-ins (Realm of Prey) and put it in. Originally I used the one from the EV bible.

Do you happen to have NovaTools installed too? It might be conflicting with the EV plug's TMPLs.

The problem was I put in a NEW set of TMPLs while editing a ship causing it to get all confused. Alrighty, it works. Close this topic Admins!
