Yes, but generally a writer has to be able to write clearly. That post didn't really make any sense, making sense is a prerequisiste for being a good writer.

You wouldn't want a mission opening that went "A man walk talk up to you say go mission to cargo 45 celio go mars earth fly gun."

I think a little more skill would be required. I can do a bit, and I'm decent at it, but it would be nice to have a few people wouldn't it? And people who can spell.

But seriously, I fully intended to make it an addon TC, we could space the existing systems out, rename some stuff and change around the Descs...

Really, I can write. I can do just about anything. Which is why I've been saying I can do anything. The only problem is that I'm easily distracted, and I sence that distraction coming over me.... This is not good. See about getting more mission maker people. Though I would not mind doing missions, they arn't my favorite thing and they arn't my strong point. I can give you a New Era story if you want one, and we can make up some more governments. (With a huge map, we could support all sorts of independents, pirates, aliens, and many many more fun governments). I could also write a mission line. I'll get to the ship rotatey thing too.

Now, so far this is what we are doing:
Me: Organiser, weapons, outfits, and most of the actual plug-in dev.
Meaker: Graphics, Writer?, anyhing else you think you can do.
Azdara: Graphics.
Meaker and Azdarda: Could you put your ships into rleD or whatever you need to and send them to me. I'll actually do the ships res. Stuff them, if they have lost Quality I'll restore them in Photoshop (25 days left...)

Actually, the best way to do spin graphics is actually by using mechanisto and rendering the ship at the angles required. That way you get the correct shadows etcetera.

Ah one problem might be that I don't have nova yet. My computer's too crappy. How about you get your hands on a copy of mechanisto, and I send you the files, you can render them and rotate them. Or I could render them at all the right angles, put them in a graphic that can be used for a spin resource and send them to you. Anyone got any idea of what camera angle they should be rendered at? If you don't know, tell me and I'll post a topic about it, someone has to know round here.

Need to finish up the blue set of ships, give them some fighters and other stuff.

Red set is done.

Any ideas on what other style of ship to do? NUFAN, do you have any ideas, as in some race of aliens in your head that you could tell me about, or do you just want us to keep making ships straight from our heads. Oh! Just had a cool idea, a bit like a leviathan, but different...

One other thing, NUFAN, can you provide me with a list of shots you need, like Yard, comm, spin, etcetera. I think I can even put engine glow in, but I'm not sure about what to do. Do you need just the glowing part or the whole ship plus the glow. All these kinds of things need to be known. I'm gonna go make another ship...

I've been experimenting with ship glow graphics, and I've also been using a 15-25 degree x-rotation on my ships to get the 3D effect. I don't know if that's right, but it's what I use. Oh, I sent all my ships to Azarda, and I'm planning to send them to NUFAN. I also made a movie. Don't know what to class my ships as; Azarda's are the red ones and the blue ones. I think mine are the New Eran ones.

Azarda: Forgot to tell you what to do with your ship in my email. I think it looks pretty good, you need to add colors to it, maybe another turret or something on top. What do you do for shaders? They seem kinda flat. Maybe a bump map...

Hey guys.... I think we should start a new topic since there is undobedly nobody that understands this and since I now have to load the page and then load another page to see what is going on. I won't do it since I'm not the starter of this project, but I thought it should be made known.

Also, were we going to do a partial TC or what? I've got many ideas, and would like an enourmous map. I'd also like to get writing for the New Era, I've got all sorts of stuff for them. I was thinking, if we decided to do this, we should all make several governments, each to his satisfaction. You might not like that idea, but I have had the New Era being my government for a very long time, and would like to create them. Whatever works. Did anybody get my stuff?

I have the ships and the concept of ships to come to the point where I can make three governments. I also have a bunch of civilian styled ships and so on. hopefully my dad will get a new computer so I can actually play nova again, and then I can write story and make worlds etcetera. Untill then I'll keep making graphics. I think we have enough stuff to make a TC...

Either way, it's just that from playing TC's and plugs that just modify a few systems and so on, TC's win by a huge margin. It's just no fun to go from the game's universe, and then jump into a different person's story. They just seem kinda like... cop outs...

I could offer my help....
I am a good writer, I am pretty f*cked up so ideas nobody has heard of are my specialty.
I am good at balancing ships outfits, and shields etc. and I am good at babbling about a ship forever to. If you wan't we could use some of my plug-ins ideas in a TC, with a race that steals others technoligy and upgrades it for their own....

If you want. I've been around since EV days, and been doing plug-ins for a good 2 years, but just recently learned red-edit.

And for Willis; I can't say you're in or you're out, that's what NUFAN does, but I can say that if we did a TC, and used my idea for a huge galaxy, then your ideas would be appreciated.
