Hi cpac, Welcome to the boards! I don't have enough patience to gather the experience with this weapon, but I think I can give you some ways around the problem. The first step is to get another weapon right away. You can sell this lemon to any of the merchants as a start. I don't know where you are in your game, but you will get back what you paid for it in either Gwyden Camp or Fungus' Getaway. If you sell it to one of the town merchants, you get only half of what you paid.
You can restore lost dexterity by buying elixirs of same from Kalixa at Witch Finger. If you haven't been out there yet, it will be a struggle to fight your way out with no dexterity. Of course, if you've been to see her already, you just take the tunnel. Vials of dexterity cost 4500 gold pieces each. If you started the game with dexterity of 12, it would take 54,000 gold pieces to restore that. Potions of dexterity found in the forest are rare and insuficient in number to get you very far.
Now comes the moral issue. You can download the cheat plug-in "Gold" and get the funds you need right away. I usually dislike cheats in my own game, but there comes a time when this seems like the only way out. I believe the "Titania" plug-in allows you to increase your stats in any specific area although, here again, I'm lacking in experience with this plug.
There is, of course, the option of starting a new game (you know you are going to play through more than once anyway) and having the advantage of some knowledge in advance. With Jaguar as your OS, you will probably want to set up a few "game files" first (Game A.pog, Game B.pog, Game C.pog. etc.) so that you have a recent save to return to if things go wrong in the one you're currently using.
I hope some of the above has been helpful to you. Good luck with your games! ~RD

My Doctor said I was having too much wine, women, and song - so I gave up singing because 2 out of 3 is not so bad.
The (url="http://"http://mywebpage.netscape.com/rduckfwj/pog/mapnotes.html")Kingdom of Garendall(/url) sectional map is easily printed from gif format pages.
Find those areas you missed the first time around. You'll want to explore those hidden areas now made accessible with Spells Expander.
