    • evn plugin idea

I don't know a thing about plugins, so I can't implement this myself. Perhaps, after you dominate a planet, you can name your government, also establish relations with other governments, launch attacks (with the fleet size decided by how many planets are owned), and other such things, and such. Opinions?

Hmmm... I think they are all good ideas, but about half of them you can't do in Nova. There is another option, though.

(url="http://"http://www.imperialconflict.com/")http://www.imperialconflict.com/(/url) is a online space RPG, where you control your planets and resources. It's kinda cheap, but it's multiplayer! In it you can control how many ships to produce, what planets to dominate, etc., etc.

Actually, much of that would be possible with plugins, but it would take lots of work and the player would have little actual control. Prehaps military advisors could suggest targets and you could approve them? Good use of cröns, mďsn, extra duplicate spöbs and even duplicate gövts might solve your problems, but it would take tons of work. It would be an interesting idea for a plug though, where you start out as a simple backwater planet dictator and decide to conquer the universe...
The start-dominated tag would work great for conquered spöbs that replace the free ones as you spread your influence.

Why don't you learn how? It's not that hard.

Thank you for bring this to my attention.

As for being eleven years old. Have some confidence. Even people that are young can still make plugins. You may not make a huge TC at your age (or you could), but you can practice your skills and blow us all away in a few years.

    • You're actually lucky. You're starting to develop at a time when there ARE lots of people who know how to make graphics and make plugins, and there are a lot of editors and things that make your job simple. As I tell everyone, start simple, and start slow. Start on EV, and work through the sequals. EV's engine might be old, but it's the easiest to edit, and the easiest to figure out what the heck you're doing. EVO is tougher, but is fundamentally similar to EV. The differences between EVN and EVO are much greater than the differences between EV and EVO, but if you like a challenge, go for it.

    • Yeah, I'd recomend that you start on EV first too. It's how a lot of people started, and it makes logical sense. Just go to the EV(classic) addons page and get all the plug-making guides and templates you'll need. Boot up your ResEdit and bible, and see what's there. Then try changing something (in a copy) or adding something simple (via a plug) and see the result. Experimentation is the easiest way to get started. Don't start with a huge goal, just learn about what's in each resource and how it works. The bible helps a lot with that.
