Still trying to make different versions of rebel vipers available...still no luck. I think one of the problems is that Adobe Acrobat Reader doesn't work! Which means that I cannot read the Nova Bible. Whenever I try to open Reader it unexpectedly quits. I was going to write the company for tech suport but it costs $20 so I'll do without.

I experimented with everything about the rebel vipers that I could think of. I made the tech levels 12 just like the normal vipers. Messed with the bits....etc. Still a step-by-step guide on how to get my plug-in working would be VERY MUCH appreciated. Or how to get Reader working...but truthfully I would rather have the first.

Ok, thanks for the text download. Now I got the different versions available. My next problem is when they dock, they disappear. I think there were some others that had this problem. What is causing this? Is it not recognizing the vipers as fighters? How can I fix this?

Oh! You're using them as fighters!
Okay, that's a problem. Nova uses the sprite as a way of telling what kind of fighter it is. If use use something other than the lowest-numbered shän, it doesn't like it. Make a copy of the rlë8/rlëDs and use them for your sprites. I think this works, but see earlier topics on this to make sure.

Ok...we're almost there. Thanks mrxak. I pasted the Rebel Viper shĺn,rle8, and rleD. What do I need to make the Resource IDs? I made them all 337, 338, and 339...because those are the IDs of the outf. Once I have them pasted, what do I need to do?

I think I have found the problem. I copy the rebel viper shan from nova ships 4 into my plug-in, whenever I open it from my plug, the little viper turning doesn't show up. It's just blank. Is this the problem?

I'll go ahead and put in my last word for the night. I finally have a pretty good diagnosis of the problem...hopefully there will be some answers here tomorrow

I can launch the fighters, but whenever they dock back on my ship, they seem to disappear. After looking in the outfitter I noticed that they didn't disappear, they had turned into the regular fighter version of the rebel viper. I know the problem now but I have no idea how to fix it. Please put any comment that might be helpful!

No. It's just happening like that because you didn't copy the RLE resources. Unlike ResEdit, Nova is able to load the RLE resources from the graphics file without them being copied into your plug-in.
