    • Nova Ship Graphics Questions

(now that I've finally completed a ship to render), does anyone know the details of Nova sprite properties: what is the camera angle offset from an overhead view, and from what angle is the light cast onto the ship?

"Squirrels never built starships," said Graff. "There are usually a few changes on the way from gathering nuts and seeds to harvesting asteroids and putting permanent research stations on the moons of Saturn."

    • The ship itself is at 45 degree's. About the light I'm not quite sure but I would have to guess about the same, what ever looks good I guess.

    • The camera is elevated 45 degrees behind the ship, and the light is placed (also) above the ship (probably elevated from the horizontal about 30 degrees), and displaced to the left (from the player's pov) 45 degrees.

    • You only need to have about the same light direction. Align the ship in whatever way you like, you could twist it around it's own axis while "spinning". Just make all spin positions fit into the grfx.

    • I was just stating what I think that ATMOS used. I have slightly different settings.
