Ambrosia's addon page is the only way to go. I wouldn't go to google.com and search for plugins, because Ambrosia already has provided a place for them to go. If you're talking about a personal page where you can self advertise your plug, why wouldn't tripod work? You'd really only need it for the page. Just make your link point to Ambrosia's link.

Use iTools. Set up a quick site and upload. You can link it to your plug on the add-ons page, or leave it on your site.
