    • Amapi ship building tutorials

I recently acquired a full version of Amapi 4.1.5 from a macaddict disc, but it looks a little hard to use or get used to. Are there any GOOD ship building tutorials for Amapi 4? Any help would much appreciated.

Dito on that... I have a whole stack I've yet to go through.

    • I'd go beg Lomax201 (#?), I dunno if he'll help, but he has a very nice Amapi ship up at the bottem of the Image Gallery.

I believe it is on the disk from the August 2001 issue. Not sure of disk number.

    • Yes, it was the august 2001 issue, and it is disk #60. it also has the demo of amapi v.6 along with amapi 4.15 (full version)

    • Is Strata 3Dbase or Amapi better?

    • Strata3D Base is a pain. Use Strata 3D, the pre-3D Base program, It has more features.

    • Where can i get the pre-3D Base version of Strata 3D?

      ------------------

    • A friend let me install it from his MacAddict CD (don't ask me which one, because I don't know). It's really easy to use. You just click the cube button, and drag a cube onto the screen. Skins are also very useful. Rendering is great, although it has a single (sort of relevant) bug, although you're fine if you don't plan on importing greyscale images.

You might also want to try Mechanisto. It's on Ambrosia's EV Classic Dev Tools site. There is also a very good tutorial in the Guides section.

      ------------------

    • Strata 3D 3.0 Full Version is available on the MacAddit disk #48, the disk that came with the August 2000 issue.
      🙂

      ------------------

    • Try a search on Google for "Strata 3D 3.02" you'll end up with a ton of web pages but eventually you'll find one that still has the older, better version available. I think I ended up getting it from somewhere in France 😛

      happy hunting.
