    • Portrait Artist Needed

I'm working on my plug-in entitled "Rise Of the Brotherhood", and I have come to the conclusion that I would like to have character portraits included to add a little flavor to it. Unfortunately I don't have time nor the graphical know-how to do them myself. Therefore, I am wondering if anyone would be interested in working on them? I don't care about the style, so if your forte is Marvel/Image art style or Anime style that's fine with me. If interested, you can either post in this thread, or e-mail me at omc@omcgames.com.

      Thanks.

    • Maybe you could explain a little further about your upcoming plug-in, especially about the characters themselves, that way many artists could get an idea when it comes to designing characters.

    • In the post 'Upcoming Plugins' somewhere in the EV Nova web board, Darkness posted the webpage for the plugin.

    • Well, I want to get some work done on the plug-in, so I'm not going to spend much time talking about it. I will, but maybe tomorrow before I go to work. Below is a link to the site that I have setup for it. I think that should give everyone a general idea of what it's about, but really, I don't want to give too much away because it is a detective story. I'll answer questions about it as best I can.

    • One thing that can be said about this plug is that it is set in a world of high technology. Much like the original plug-in. I've tried hard to define a lot of this technology because it makes for good story material, but also gives the player a little insight as to what kind of things were possible in the world. I also define each planet with cities and some sort of structure as you would expect from a universe with trillions of people in it.

I don't know if any of you guys read comics, but I like the technology of the Vampi series. There's just something cool about it, so I am going for that kind of style. On the otherhand, being an artist myself, I can appreciate the need for a little creative freedom. So even though I would like to lean in a particular direction as far as the look is concerned, I will leave it up to the artist to do some experimenting. If you're wondering about Vampi, here's a link... (url="http://"http://www.anarchy-studios.com")www.anarchy-studios.com(/url) .

Most characters and backgrounds are going to be up to the artist to decide, with a couple of exceptions. I am not any good at drawing generic people, so I leave that to people who are better at it. Heh, heh. The main detective character is predefined because he is a character out of a group of short stories I wrote about ten years ago.

Anyway, I hope that sheds some light on the art situation. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
