Because of course, publicising a web site with no content whatsoever is a really good move.

Yah. Pre-publication is doom. Who is going to bookmark and come back to a site without content, hoping that "something has been added by now?"

    • Yeah. Unfortunatley, other than a teaser and some stuff on the progress page, it doesn't have much. But, as the plug-in has yet to reach a decent testing stage, screnshots and movies are a little out of the question. Maybe I'll scan in some concept drawings of my stack of post-it notes. In a few weeks, there should be a good half dozen or so images and the like up, as well as lots more info. Once the plug reaches alpha, maybe I'll advertise the website again.

Maybe so, but you can't prove it by me.

The link yoau provided leads to a page with this on it:

      " Welcome to a Brinkster Member's site!

Currently this site is under construction. Please check back later.

Get Your Own Free Web Site! "

No content relating to a plug-in, no links to other pages, nothing.

If you want anyone to see your alleged web site how about providing a working link or giving the correct URL?

Yes, I know. It takes about 5-10 minutes from the time I update to the time it actually appears on the web. The stuff is there. And, to placate all the boys who cried "no content," I have added 4 screenshots and another teaser - complete with picture. I hope to add at least one movie by the end of the week.

Not through the link you posted in your first message in this topic, that only leads to the "under construction" page. Also you could have mentioned the the site is not viewable with Navigator. Using IE the link in your sig does work. Now I'm going back to the site to see if there is anything there that's worth the pain in the butt of getting there.

      (edit)
Well, I saw it, what there is of it. Hardly worth the effort. Looks like it may be a good plug, but there really isn't enough on the site to judge by. Ńo descriptions of the universe, the governments, the peoples, the technology, the story line. The one ship displayed is sort of funky looking, sort of unbalanced design, but of course there could be reasons for that. Lists of numbers of resources don't really tell much, since quality is far more important than quantity. One good sign I saw in the staff list is that the plug will feature landing pics by Clare Krauss and Judith Krauss and I know they do very good work. Definitely a plug I want to keep an eye on, despite the "lite" web site.
