    • Ship graphic, and Staiton Graphic needed

Hopefully somebody can assist me with this. I really need a ship and staion for an upcoming plug-in. My current graphical applications aren't powerful enough, or good enough to make the graphics needed. For the ship I need something that is about the size of a clipper or courier. I need it to look sort of pod like in shape, but look like it was made of random junk and material fused together. Some darkish blue engine would be nice. For the Station I need something similar. I would like a station that appears to be made out of junk, yet polished silver, with blueish windows on the sides. If anyone could create these for me, or even point me to a place on the net that has something sort of like this, that would be great. Questions or clarification, email me at wirehead@mac.com. Thank you.

What graphic applications do you use? I'd think Strata3Dbase or Mechanisto would do.

I have Mechanisto, but for these graphics I would really need something more detailed and a lot more powerful. If somebody could really help me this, me and my friends would put you in our plug and thank you over and over in a heart beat.

    • I'll do it!

You can find me in #ev3 a lot, on Aim under LequisMX, or e-mail me at PhantoM_63ff@hotmail.com.

I can't promise you Lightwave quality graphics, but I can give you something decent quality, good looking, and free. Preferably post a reply to this message and tell me more specificially what you want, and/or contact me by e-mail...preferrably AIM if possible.

    • Thanks a lot! These graphics have a lot to do with the finale of the story. The ship should be about the size of clipper or a courier. It should look like it was assembled at a Junk yard. Looks almost as if somebody took a bunch of different kinds of metal and junk, fused them together, polished it, and painted it a dark greyish color. The shape of the ship isn't too complex, it consists of a pod like shape, maybe with the front of it a little beaten up and torn apart so that you can see it was in a fight of some sort or wasn't finished completely. Thats about all for the ship. The station is pretty strait forward, it should look like a station from EV, but appear to be assembled with junk and weird metal, like the ship. The only difference is that its silverish in color Thats pretty much all of it. Its a little complex, but I hope you are up to it. We don't need anything fantastic, or stunning, just some good quality graphics. We don't need them right away or anything, take your time. You can eMail me at wirehead@mac.com, or my AIM is Lexak4. And thanks again.

    • And for me... Is there anywhere that you can get a Machinesto shader so a ship will look like a Confederation ship? You know, a little blue dot thing? I have just begun experiments with shaders so I don't even know if this is possible. Thanks!

    • You can't really place those blue dots with a shader in Mechanisto, you would have to take a sphere flatten it, place it where you want it, then create an all blue shader, and apply that. Hope that helps.

    • That would work... But a shader would be sooooo much easier!
I guess I'll do that sphere...

    • I will get to work on it. I have five days off next week, and this weekend ahead of me.

Dash; a Mechanisto shader, or any shader, for that matter, could be designed to do this, but only after VERY careful offsets of the components. It would be easier in Bryce, I'd say, but still incredibly hard. It would be nice, yes, but think about it this way; the added sphere adds dimension and makes it look nicer...
