i've some good ideas for plugs but my mother wont let me make any plugs. i figured that some one here might be able to make these ideas into reality.

buy system upgrades (big cost of course)

resonable price for the Kestrel

Wasn't this fixed in 1.0.2? Anyway, that's already been done, too. Look in the plug archives.

What do you mean? There are already many ship upgrades you can purchace in EVO.

This has been done, too. IIRC "lightning jump" was originally for EV.

coughcheatcough Besides, I think the Kestrel is very reasonably priced. If you want it, earn the credits (or capture one, a pirate one perhaps).

At least one plugin (and probably many more) do this. Ever heard of Final Battle? It's been semi-recently bug-fixed some more, so I believe it may be up to version 4...I don't remember, it was a while ago (but much more recent than the plugin's release!). Anyway, check it out. It's quite good.

This has almost definately already been done.
Look around the archives, and see what there is. I think you'll find most of your ideas are available in some plugin or another. Also, don't overlook the great addition and conversion plugins available - names I remember off the top of my head are Pale (for EV), F-25 (2.0 is the most recent version, for EVO), EVGE (EV Game Expander, for EV), Final Battle (already mentioned, for EV), Frozen Heart and Femme Fatale (by the wonderful Martin Turner, some would argue that these are the best plugins ever made for EVO), and others such as Reign of the Voinians, Reign of the UE, and Beyond the Crescent. Unfortunately, I can't say I've played entirely through any of these except Final Battle.
Just as a final note, may I suggest you use proper capitalization when writing your posts? They'd be much easier to read if you did.

I'm talking about the system upgrade the Zidagar give you in their mission string not RCS, thrust, speed, and scensor upgrades.

You're in luck. I'm going to be releasing "Moderation" fairly soon. It is a collection of small (very small) plug-ins for EV that do various things (ie: there is one that 'activates' the Bulk Freighter, so you can purchase it). There is one that lowers the Kestrel's price a bit (it is a tad bit over-priced). While it is still much more expensive than a Corvette, it is more reasonable (the price for the 'cheap' Kestrel has been lowerd by the same amount, as well).

Impossible. When you make a plug-in, you don't change any files; you simply make a new one which, with the game's help, replaces or adds features. The worst thing that has ever happened when I made a plug-in was that EVO told me something was wrong and quit. Plug-ins can't do serious damage to your computer unless you don't know what you're doing with ResEdit.
Tell this to your mom. If she doesn't believe some nerd you met on a forum, have her read the notes at the beginning of the Override Bible (or the EV Bible if you own EV).
