    • Exactly. Stealing stuff you WOULD have to pay. My point is that this is the exception to the main and only reason why not to pirate software: there are no developers to support. For example, if someone wanted to pirate EVN right now, I would slap them around because I know how much effort the EVN Dev team put out to make EVN. But if someone wanted to pirate, say, an emulated pacman game from 20 years ago, is it the same? Not really. You cannot pay for the latter, and there is no alternative to piracy.

      Actually, I found it for $289 at the Academic Super Store; It's only eleven dollars cheaper, but every penny counts.
