Isn't there some universal graphic format that most any 3d app can read? If there is, we should contact the guy who made mechanisto and talk to him about making mechanisto capable of saving in such a format.

Well, it's called .DXF...Mechanisto can't export it, but it can read them. I have downloaded many files in that format, but they don't have textures that I can tell....unless they're exported by the program I use (Strata 3D). Strata 3D is a (I think) Mac only program, but Mechanisto is more PCish. So, if you looked hard enough, there would probably not be that many models...
