    • Bug using seashell powder

I'm using the Trinity plugin. Awhile back in the game, I used some seashell powder and fought a bunch of enemies. I've played for many hours since then and I still haven't heard anything about my XP doubling. Each time I try to use the seashell powder again, it just says, "You rub the seashell powder on your weapon and armor, but you don't think it will do much good." I do have the Coldstone demo, is there perhaps something I could reset in my player file so that I can at least use seashell powder again?

      Mr. Daveman Deluxe,

Unless someone from Beenox posts what globals are tripped and/or events are used to set the XP doubling effect, there is nothing that can be done until they release the Trinity source code. That being said, this is another bug that would be nice to be fixed once the code is released and another reason for the (url="http://"http://epitheisterra.sourcecod.com/viewforum.php?f=13&sid;=")Trinity Development Project(/url).

I was getting the same results with my game to the point where I finally sold off my grinder and remaining shells to rid myself of the frustraton. I figured if I couldn't fix it, why fight it.

Good luck with the rest of your game, Mr. D. Deluxe

    • Oh well. It happens. Somehow I think my game will survive. I'm really enjoying Trinity overall, that's fo sho. It's kind of fun being a conjurer, although I must say that some of the spells are really a joke...

Ducky, maybe if you sold the grinder and all the seashells, then bought a new grinder and got some new shells, it would work again? Just a thought... I've seen stranger things happen at least.

      Mr. Daveman Deluxe,

I doubt it. Without seeing the code I don't know exactly what Beenox has done with the grinder, but my guess is that they tripped a global that as long as it is set then the powder won't "wear off." My guess is that you saved your game with the powder set as active, and then later reloaded a game where this global was tripped, but the event to call for it to wear off was inactive due to the games reloading. Thus purchasing a new grinder won't do squat since the global is still tripped. But this is all just hypothesizing on my part.

If the above is similar to how it was done, I have an idea about how to fix it. But again nothing will be able to be done until Beenox releases the code to trinity, at which time we will be able to get into it and fix the known bugs.

That's a shame. I'm pretty sure that Beenox isn't releasing the Trinity code until the next version of Coldstone. =

That is what has been said by Beenox, correct. Unfortunately it sounds like the closer we get to the release of the update, the more bugs are found that need to be fixed(and thus the update is delayed). sigh

    • Was the character that had this sea shell problem created without trinity and then you turned trinity on while using him? This also happened to me, but it happened to my non-Trinity character while I was using Trinity. Another thing that Trinity caused is that my character has looked like a Conjurer ever since he was turned into a knight. A third and final bug was that every now and then I find the salesman wandering near Gwyden Camp and I bought the SeaShell Grinder from him.

I just hope that next time, Beenox hires an editor so that they don't have so many damn spelling mistakes!
