I am new to plug-in desing but how do you get some letters in the resource name. Such as the ship resource, how do you get the strange lower case "i"?

to get the i () you press option and u together, then i (without option), to get the u repeat, but press u instead of i.

Accent aigu ( ´
option-e.
Option-E, then E = é
Option-E, then A = á
etc.Accent grave (
): option-. (That's the key to the left of the 1.)
Option-, then E = č Option-, then A = ŕ
etc.Umlaut ( ¨
option-u.
Option-u, then U = ü
Option-u, then O = ö
etc.Circumflex (
option-i.
Option-i, then I = î

etc.Little spanish thingie that I forget what it's called (

There's a application that comes with most macs(I actually think it's come on all macs that have been made within the last 8 years or so) called Key Caps.
If you open it and hold down the option key, it will show you what every key on the keyboard will come out as with the option key held down.
