I am making a plug for EV that will continue the Galactic Civil War to the end- either a Rebel or Confed victory. I have a few questions:
1. Copyrighting. The New Horizons people say that nobody can use their graphics without their express permission. Well, one of their graphics is a landing pic of Stardock Alpha wrecked- it is just like the one in the regular EV except for the fact that the station is in ruins and there are no Confed warships in from of Earth. I used this pic- and modified it- because I wanted a Rebel Stardock Alpha pic- as the Rebel string will eventually involve Rebel rule over the Sol system- and the "New Horizons" pic already had the Confed ships removed. I used the same pic as a beginning for MAGMA versions of the Confed and Rebel Stardock Alphas. Earlier today I e-mailed the creators and asked them for permission to use their (modified) pic in my plug. When I checked my e-amil later today,I saw that it did not get to two of them (failure to deliver the message). Do I still need permission, or have they just forgotten the plug. I think I still need to ask them, my e-mail is ue_patriot@hotmail.com.
2. Which mission bits do the regular EV missions take up? I would like to know because I want to have as many mission bits as possible - this is going to be a long plug?
3. How do you figure out the long name, comm name, etc. of a ship in Escape Velocity? I know in EVO you use that program (forgot what its name was) which tells you a certian ship's/planet's/whatever's STRs, spins, and so fort for all its different aspects. Are the numbers the same in EV as they are in EVO, or is it different?
That's all for now.
God bless,
UE Patriot
