    • Iain M. Banks and plug possibilities

      Hey two questions:

      1. Any fans of Iain M. Banks on these boards? Specifically fans of his sci-fi series about "The Culture".
      2. If so, are there any plug developers interested in implementing a culture plug-in?

I think that this would be an amazing idea personally.. I wonder if anyone has considered doing it before.

This topic more correctly belongs on the Developers Board. Hence I will be moving it there as soon as I finish posting this message... 🙂

    • On that same line, I thought it would be neat to make a plugin of Lois McMaster Bujolds Vorkosigan saga. I'd have to wait until my current projects are done, but it would be a neat thing to do in the future.

    • I think a Culture plugin would be a good idea... it certainly has potential. Who you would play in it would be interesting. Do you think the player would be human or actually one of the Culture Minds?

Anyway, I would be interested in helping out with something like that. It might be worth waiting until EVN is out and making it a plugin for that, though. I think some of the modifications in the EVN engine would lend themselves well to a Culture thing.

Drop me a wire if anyone starts anything.

    • Oh, if you had only posted this topic a few months ago! I love Mr Banks. Unfortunatly I know have some other plugin-type projects on the go and so can't commit to anything else.

      Damn.
