    • Help! My plug won't work and I don't know why!

      Hi everybody, I'm making an expansion plug for EVO that adds a new race and a bunch of missions, ships, weapons, etc. It adds two new governments, which are the new race and the renegades assosciated with that race. But there seems to be a problem with the renegade government and I can't figure out what it is. None of the düde types assosciated with that government appear when they should, and you can't jump in to any system controlled by them. I used R&R;'s gövt editor to make the government. Has this problem ever happened to anyone else, and how did you fix it?

      ------------------
      1 - 1/3 + 1/5 - 1/7 + 1/9 - 1/11... = pi/4.
      pi= 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510582097494...

      Hmm. That's really strange... Well for the not jumping in to systems part, I might have a solution. Open the syst resources that are right next to it. Add in a link to the system you want, that ought to do it! If it already has a link to that system then I don't know :frown:

      For the dude part, hmm. I'd suggest you download plug checker (I don't have an address, I'll post later with it) which supports both EV and EVO. Maybe it'll find something. Good luck in finding the solution!

    • Thanks... the systems are definitely connected to each other, though. No, I think the problem is definitely in the government, but I can't figure out what's wrong with it. Because the lines to and from the system appear, but when the system is selected, it won't let you jump to it. I think maybe the problem is that I used EV-Edit for the systems, (no flaming, please!) I was very careful, I actually created a separate plug, made the systems in it, checked it out, and then copied the rescources from that plug into my own. Could somebody tell me where to find EVO developer's map?

      Ah. EV-Edit. That explains it. You see EV-Edit messes up systems and makes it so that it doesn't actually connect to some systems. You can find EVO developers map on the addons page, along with Plug Checker. Also open up the systems in ResEdit and see if they're linked.

    • EVO developer's map is the coolest! I love it!
      I redid all of the systems in developers map, and I can go into the renegade system now. But the dudes still didn't work until I figured out what a dumb mistake I had made. I had set the mission bit for that dude to 0 instead of negative one. I feel really stupid, but it's little annoying details like that that make the difference, I suppose.

      Ah. Glad that it works now.
