      I've had little luck asking for graphics help here, so I'm not expecting much asking for QT movies here either. Instead, I'm asking where I should look. And in case any of you are interested, my website for my plugs: (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/destiny_plugs/index.html")Destiny Plugs Home Page(/url). The movies will be for (url="http://"http://htt://www.goecities.com/destiny_plugs/Dark_Destiny/index.html")Dark Destiny(/url). I can get a hold of most of the ship models, and possibly replace the ones that I can't.

      Dark Destiny is gonna be like 24 megs, right?

      Please don't add movies. On behalf of the EVO Community, I beg you to rethink your use of movies.

      A)Movies rarely work, they ususally crash. Only one or two people have sucessfully used them in plug-ins.

      B)Your plug is gonna be huge, it will take up LOTS of RAM.

      C)Movies also take up lots of RAM. So, unless you got one of those new G4s that can take up to 1 GB of RAM, the plug-in should run S L O W with movies.

      Wait for Nova, they'll improve the way movies are used for that.

      If it's all just 3D space graphics you want, download (url="http://"http://www.3DS.com")Strata 3D(/url). You can make some pretty decent animations with it.

      Also try out Mechanisto (forgot the link). I've never tried it, but I hear good reviews on it. The graphics some people make with it are pretty noteworthy.

      If you're looking for actually human interaction, however, you'd be better off just buying the $400 Poser program from (url="http://"http://www.metacreations.com/")MetaCreations(/url). However, you'll have to go through a (url="http://"http://www.macmall.com/")reseller(/url) to get it.

      OctoberFost is right though. You'd be better off not using movies.

      The movies would be in a seperate download, and optional. I'm already going to release a full version and a "light" version - smaller landing Pics, no new intro music(yet to be added), and maybe downgraded graphics. Only because until recently I've had a dinosaur computer myself and I want everyone to be able to have acess to it, not just people with new computers.
