How would you make a weapon that, while firing on shields will also damage the enemies armor?
If it isn't possible in EVO, at least I'll be happy knowing that it'll work in EV3.

It isn't possible in EV or EVO. I remember talking about it in some string on the EVO webboard a long time ago - before EVN was concieved, I think. Or at least before it was concieved as EVN instead of an EVO plug. But we were talking about having several different types of shields, and weapons that would damage certian types more than others. Why were talking about it I'm not quite sure, but it was interesting enough.

How about this one: A beam weapon that only damages shields and won't scratch armor at all. Impossible in EV or EVO i believe.....any ideas on how to make this work?

How about this:
Shield Damage: 10
Armor Damage: -2
That is the best you can get. Hope it helps.

It would be awesome if there was a way to make a weapon that damaged shields while hurting armor. If you recall, diddlysquat, my description of the Vulcan Neutron Gun stated that it was designed to penetrate shields and strike armor...Meaning that it would still hurt your shields worse, but your armor would still get a little damage also...

Will that really work? I'm inclined to think not.
According to the bible: "the weapon will always do at least one point of damage, regardless".

Setting the Damage like that works when you have Override Templates and ResEdit. I don't know if you can do it with anything else.
