    • Dealing With Sound Files (help?)

Yesterday I created a bunch of small music clips for my plugin using easy beat. The problem is that I saved them in aiff format, and now I cant figure out how to put them into ResEdit. Anybody out there know how to do this?

    • You need SoundApp. I don't know the URL, but a search (On the Web, not here. I guess that goes without saying...) should turn up something.

    • Yes, I have Sound App. So then what do I do?

    • Open SoundApp, go to File > Convert, select the AIFF file and chose which format you want to convert it to (System 7 sound). Once it's converted you can go into it with ResEdit...

      Repeat as necessary

    • Also, be sure the sound is mono, 8 bit, and 11kHz as EVO... dislikes... other settings.

    • I got the sounds to work, but they're very faint and fuzzy. Any way to fix this?

You may have already solved this, Captain, but you might try Sound Studio 1.5.4 from Felt Tip Studios. Lots of features, but simple enough for, uh, me. It should certainly clear up that fuzziness you mentioned, and allow you to amplify your sound. It's a $35 shareware program with a 14-day trial program (after the deadline, the Save command is disabled). Find it right here:
