Yes. (To both questions)
As has been mentioned in several posts, some recent, there are several reasons why plug-ins have not begun appearing like crazy yet. Some of the more popular ones are:

Nova. It's new, it's cool, and it is an incredible waste of time(in a good way, heh).

Coldstone, the editor that creates plug-ins, is buggy as all get out. An update is expected shortly, but shortly hasn't arrived yet. I, for one, am unwilling to continue plug-in development until the update is released, as I've lost too much work from the editor crashing on me and taking the work with it. Too frustrating. The update, I'm assured, fixes this, and when it is released then all my notes will resurface and development will continue.

Time. Some of us are out of school and have jobs. Development of a plug-in, beyond cheats, take time. Some of us have only a few hours a week to devote to this, and thus it takes a while.
So the short answer is yes, plug-ins are being developed by several people(I know of 4 people working on plug-ins at the moment; I'm sure there are more). When they will be released is anyones guess though.

My job deals with the public so I typically address people by Mr. and Mrs., and that rubs off. Addressing someone thusly also tends to add a level of respect which is nice for a webboard. Mostly it just depends on my mood, heh. Sometimes I am just rushed and want to answer someone's question, so I take shortcuts and don't address people as I normally would. No disrespect intended, just time conscience. And of course there are some people on here that I've interacted with quite a bit and am a lot more familiar with them.. Like the little breadmaker that keeps walking off...

Yes, please do! There are several regulars, including me, but there is such a shortage of newbies to flame uh, hehe, I mean, so few people to talk to
