I cannot get any of the plugins I've tried, working. I have registered POG, I have the Windows version, I have tried trinity, sapphire and Gold, this is how I have the plugins copied into Explorer.

Garendallplugins(x) Trinity Plugin
GarendallpluginsSapphire POG Plug-in
etc.

When I start the game I get the screen showing the 3 plugins, asking me to select which to run, If I select the gold plugin nothing happens when the game starts up, no key gives me gold. If I select the sapphire plugin I do not find any little girl to give me a quest. The first couple times I seleected the trinity plugin nothing happened there either, the game started up without asking me for a class selection. Then the game went on normally with nothing new added. But now if I select the trinity plugin POG locks up the very next screen. I have read through this forum trying to find my problem and I am sure that I have the files in the correct folder. The download is 15446 KB in size for the trinity plugin but in the movie directory there are no movies, I thought I read somewhere that movies are supposed to be with this plugin.

Any help would be appreciated.

Plugs are made cross platform by Coldstone, you cant make plugs only for one system unless the game itself is not for a particular system.

Trinity has no movies, same with PoG unless you get the two movies in the Coldstone CD.

As long as the data is in the right folder and checked off at the start up, it should work. ... did you read the read-me's for the cheat plugs to know what keys to hit for the right effect? and with Trinity, its size is 15.7 mb unstuffed.

Didn't see a readme file for the cheat, but I did read in the description where I downloaded it that you use the ( and I have tried that and plenty of variations on that and nothing adds more gold. I will try re-downloading trinity, the size I have is not 15.7m.

Out of morbid curiousity, if you go into the Garendallplugins folder and open up the "(x) Trinity Plugin" folder, what are its contents? And what are the contents of the "Sapphire POG plug-in" folder?

If your "Sapphire POG plug-in" folder looks like the picture below then I can see your problem:

If your folder looks like this then you need to remove the "Sapphire" folder from within the "Sapphire POG plug-in" folder and place ONLY the "Sapphire" folder inside the Garendallplugins folder. Make sense?

Double post. I made a screenshot of the trinity folder as well along with windows system specifications. As AAC mentioned Trinity should be 15.7MB unstuffed. If you have 15.4MB then you didn't get the whole thing. If you are using a web browser you might want to keep an eye on your download. Several people have noted that their browsers disconnect from Ambrosia's servers before the entire file is downloaded(not sure if it is a browser problem, ambrosia server problem, or what. I've never been able to replicate it).

Anyhow once you get Trinity downloaded and unstuffed it should look like this:

Take the (x) Trinity Plugin folder from within the "Trinity Plugin" folder and place it within the Garendallplugins folder and check to make sure it is 15.7MB. Hopefully this will solve your plugin problems.

If this doesn't fix your problems post back and we'll continue trying to diagnose what the problem is.

Stark you were correct on the Sapphire plugin, I have been focusing so much on the trinity one I had assumed I had the sapphire one correct. It works fine now. Question on the trinity one, my download was 15.44mg, you say it is supposed to be 15.7, why is it at the Ambrosia website it shows the trinity download as 15.44 in size?

To answer your earlier question, for Trinity, I have plugins(x) trinity plugin

in that folder is:

icon 0kb

I am re-downloading now to see what I get.

I answered my own question, The trinity download is 15.44mb when you extract it the (x) trinity plugin directory is 15.7. I do not understand why, but the trinity one works now <chuckles> I have not changed a thing. Still the same original first download.

Cj - Huh, you may have discovered a plug-in bug. I'll attempt to replicate what I think the problem is tonight, although if anyone else wants to "test" my logic, it is this:

If you have multiple plug-ins and 1 is not loading properly then none will load(or at the least the one that isn't loading will cause instability in the other plug-ins).

If my hypothesis is correct this would explain why CJ's intact and correctly installed trinity plug-in would not work when he had Sapphire incorrectly installed. If someone can substantiate this(as mentioned I will try this when I go home over lunch break) then we should let Beenox know in a bug report so that this can be fixed.

And if it can't be replicated then I guess we'll just chalk it up to "wierd."

I cannot get trinity to work on either our macs or our Wintel. the plugin screen comes up just fine. But when I make a new games it does not allow me to choose a class.

Bobboky, which folder did you place in the plug-ins directory? The folder entitled "Trinity Plugin Folder" which contains: (x) Trinity Plugin folder, Icon_, Readme.txt, and Trinity Manual.PDF? Or did you place the "(x) Trinity Plugin" folder in the plugins directory?

In order for Trinity to function you need to have the "(x) Trinity Plugin" folder in the Garendall plugins directory and NOT the "Trinity Plugin Folder" folder in there.

Also, the size of the "(x) Trinity Plugin" folder should be 15.7mb in size. If it is not then you did not get the whole file and need to redownload it.

Which brings up the last potential problem: how did you get the trinity plugin? If you got it from the ftp site you should be fine. If you got it off of a CD then there is probably no data in it(if you check the size of the folder it should be real tiny) and you will need to download it from ambrosia's site.

Just as an update for CJ -

I attempted to replicate what you described(trinity not working with another plugin not installed correctly) but trinity continued to work just fine for me even with an invalid plug-in checked in the start-up. So dunno what the problem was initially, just glad it works now.

Hey? What's the deal here? I got the PoG CD from Ambrosia and the Trinity plugin doesn't work. Through further investigation I have come to realize that the plugin folder on the CD is only 878 K!! Something is seriously wrong here. The reason I bought the CD from ambrosia was to avoid having to download this garbage...

The CD's from Ambrosia do not contain the full trinity. This was an error and there are 2 ways around this problem: 1) download the file from ambrosia's servers is the quickest way around this. Or, 2) send Ambrosia email at help@ambrosiasw.com and notify them that you received a CD for POG with the trinity plug-in but that there was no data in the trinity plug-in. As soon as they have cd's available with the trinity data intact they have said they will send you the new cd at no charge(since this was their mistake).
