    • Parsec isn't EV(O)(N) either.

      What are the problems associated with multiplayer EV again? I mean, there are more than enough people here who would be willing to help work it out I think, and the EV series is too good to be held by one person at a time.

      Advertisements could even be implemented through the use of Captain Hector fly-bys and the like, to help offset development costs.

      Time constraints can be bent somewhat by narrowing time down from days to minutes and hours. Have jumps occur instantaneously, and have missions do at specific times of day or a specific amount of time after the start of the mission. This could also put a bit more pressure into combat, as you would have to finish the fight with enough time left to finish your missions.

      Space Bars could have chat features, so that space doesn't get clogged with text.

      You could have one sector of the galaxy under the iron fist of a government with an enormously strong navy, and use it as a starting location for newbies and the occasional escape pod refugee. I don't know how domination of worlds would work, unless there would be some way to have the navy continue to patrol the system after it has been dominated. :ลน/

      hrm... ithink I'm tapped for now... any ideas/threats/flames/praises/pies?

    • How about getting an expierienced programmer to make a mod for Parsec, incorporating the EV universe and graphics in a kind of EVMP3D?

    • I used to think an ev 3d would be mad, my first argument (and post) was away back in january with mikee about it, i thought it would happen, he turned me into a skeptic. Anyhow,the point is, it would kinda suck. Think about it, the best thing about Ev is getting into a chunky arse battlehip and blowing the crap out of everyone. If it was 3d, this would be boring.
