i've checked the EVO bible and there is no sign of the conversion between pixels and any other form of measurement
i mean how do you attach the pic to the ship or weapon, etc.

What maps? :p. If you're asking about the systems map then I'd recommend a certain program called (url="http://"http://members01.chello.se/warlordpontus/ev/evomap.html")EVO Developer's Map(/url).

Depends on your monitor, and the picture. Usual mac picts are 72 pixels/inch

You do the spin in resedit, but the sprites in Pic2Sprites or a graphics program.

Like it always does, except $ is used to show something is in hex. Ex $0400 is a hex value equaling the decimal value 1024.

You use visbits. Copy the system you want to change and change the copy. Set the visbit of the copy to x (where x is an unused mission bit). Set the visbit of the original to x+1000. Make a mission that sets mission bit x on completion.
If you want to know how to attach picts to outfits, etc. then I'd recommend (url="http://"http://members01.chello.se/warlordpontus/ev/evocalc.html")EVO Formula Calc(/url)
And I'm not partial to these programs because I wrote them
